Japanese Knotweed is recognised by the Environment Agency as the UK’s most invasive species, as its aggressive growth causes extensive damage to buildings, foundations, and roads, resulting in costly delays to development projects. Japanese knotweed colonises whole areas, threatening ecosystems, frequently causing serious erosion to river banks.

Japanese knotweed membranes are often used as Root Barriers to prevent the weed spreading into, or around development sites. These Root Barrier Membranes can be installed vertically or horizontally to meet the needs of specific projects. Membranes are also used to line cells for on-site Japanese knotweed burial.
