Aztex Somtube Geocomposites - For Infrastructure Projects

Aztex Draintube and Aztex Somtube are our high efficiency range of geocomposite products. They provide a directional flow capability for both liquids and gas in a variety of construction programs through road construction to waste management applications.

In addition they offer significant environmental benefits in two areas by preventing the use of a granular material and by dramatically reducing the number of vehicle movements to and across a construction site.

Environmental Advantages - Example

One trailer load of Draintube (7,560m2) installed can equate in drainage capability to 150 loaded trailers of the alternative granular material!!

Both products are unique in that it is the only geocomposite that has “built-in” perforated mini pipes to ensure utmost drainage efficiency and provide absolute flow directional control. Pipes have been used since before Roman times and will continue to be the most efficient means of conveying fluids or gases from one point to
another.

Grades of AZTEX Somtube

Two grades of AZTEX Somtube are supplied: FTF and a lighter (L) grade LFTF, for less demanding applications.

Features common to both grades are described in depth under the combined designation (L) FTF of the Aztex Somtube product information guide. Each grade is available with a choice of mini-pipe spacing from 250mm to 2000mm.
